About Us

Greater Lower West (GLoW) was formed in 2026 by a group of residents in Chicago’s Pilsen, Heart of Chicago, Marshall Square, University Village, and Illinois Medical District neighborhoods who were passionate about their community’s urbanism—the mix of buildings, vibrant street life, transportation options, and cultural diversity that make it a great place to live and work. We love our neighborhoods, and we support community action and local policy that embrace what makes the Lower West Side special.

If you live or work in the area, join us! We connect like-minded neighbors to discuss their ideas and aspirations for the Lower West Side. GLoW hosts meet-ups throughout the year, including:
